Employee Spotlight: Daniel Shields

Beth Kaiser • Sep 12, 2019

When he’s not hunting, fishing or spending time with his family, Daniel serves Atkins’ customers as a Turf Specialist.

An employee since 2017, Daniel was recognized recently by a customer for a “fantastic job” with her lawn. Faced with a huge crabgrass and nutsedge issue, Daniel was able to control all of the weeds while maintaining her well-established lawn.

Looking for some new holiday lights for this season? Daniel does that, too!

Thanks for all you do for Atkins, Daniel! Keep up the great work!

When I first started with Atkins, I used to try to figure out how many steps I took or how many miles I walked pushing a fertilizer spreader or dragging a hose around to spot treat for weeds. Seems like on average, I walked around 7 to 8 miles most every day. Talk about good exercise! Nowadays, we have better equipment that helps save your legs and apps on our phones or watch to keep track of our steps for us. Gotta love technology!
